GREETINGS to the New England District! We’re well into our first month of an exciting new year of growth and service within our communities. Governor John has unveiled an exciting strategy for growing our organization through service. Our very realistic and doable goals include:
- Induct 100 members in the first 100 days of the year – that’s by January 8th!
- Identify 100 new members on Membership Day on March 5th – all on one day!!
- Charter one new club per division – that’s 26 new clubs!!!
- Grow each Club by 10 members, OR end the year with a “+25%” membership total!!!!
We all face the challenges of growing our clubs, as we face the reality of attrition for the members we do have. Along with providing clubs with the tools to accomplish the District goals for the year, we will also identify some resources, ideas, and programs that can help us keep our current members. The most important key to our district-wide success if for us all to think OUTSIDE of the box. We can no longer rely on doing things the same way because that’s the way things have always been done. Our club members – current and prospective – are younger, busier, and faced with more daily challenges and demands on their time and energies than ever before. But these members – current and prospective - all want to help change the world. And we’ll show them how … one child and one community at a time.
So check out the links identified below, and in particular, check out the MEMBERSHIP DAY site. Club presidents and membership chairs need to start NOW gathering their names and their lists, so we can hit January running towards the climactic Membership Day on March 5th.
In addition to the web site resources, Andy Oleksak and I are readily available by email or telephone to help get your clubs embarked on these exciting new projects. Please contact us with new ideas as well, so that we may share them with the other clubs in our fabulous District!!!
We’ll GROW TOGETHER!
